APPLE CIDER VINEGAR IN BEAUTY

ACV is different from the normal white vinegar that is usually used in the kitchen. Apple cider vinegar, when used regularly can give us wonderful results for our skin and hair.

Here are 3 ways to use apple cider vinegar for our hair and skin.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR FOR HAIR:

AS A MILD HAIR RINSE

Apple cider vinegar is acidic in nature. Thus, it helps to clean the scalp and remove the product build-up. Mix one tablespoon of ACV with 2 cups of water and use this as a last rinse for hair. You will have shiny and bouncy hair. Moreover, this helps to control dandruff.

• HAIR MASK

  Mix 1 teaspoon of castor oil, one egg,2 teaspoons of honey and ACV in a bowl. Beat this mixture well so that it has a smooth consistency. Apply this mask concentrating on the roots of the hair first and then along the length of the hair. Keep this mask for about an hour and wash it off with a mild shampoo.

• TREATING DANDRUFF

  Mix one tablespoon of ACV with 2 tablespoons of water and apply this mixture with a cotton pad onto the roots of the hair. Keep it for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with a mild shampoo. This treatment helps to relieve the dryness, itchiness and dandruff from the scalp. Apple cider vinegar’s antifungal properties help in combating dandruff and other infections of the scalp.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR FOR SKIN:

• TONER

  ACV regulates the PH balance of the skin. It is widely used in beauty remedies. Mix one teaspoon of ACV with 1 tablespoon of water. This mixture needs to be applied to freshly cleansed skin. For people suffering from acne and blemishes resulting from that, this will be an ideal toner.

• ACNE SPOT REDUCTION

  Mix one teaspoon of ACV with one tablespoon of rosewater. Dab this mixture on a regular basis on acne spots, blemishes and inflamed areas. ACV’s antibacterial and antifungal properties help in reducing acne scars and spots.

• SKIN TIGHTENING TREATMENT

Mix 2 teaspoon of ACV, 2 teaspoons of Multani mitti or fuller’s earth with 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply this mask on a cleansed face and keep it for about 15 minutes. Rinse this mask off with cool water. This mask helps to tighten the facial tissues and combat sagging skin.
