HOW TO MAKE GREEN TEA TONERS FOR OILY AND COMBINATION SKIN

Green tea is an amazing ingredient with numerous beauty benefits. It has a high amount of antioxidants and catechins which are extremely beneficial for our skin. Green tea has got anti-inflammatory properties that help in the reduction of acne inflammation. In this write-up, recipes of 4 types of green tea toners are shared.

 TONER  WITH GREEN TEA AND CLOVES:

This diy toner with cloves is great for oily and acne-prone skin.

Ingredients Required:

  • Green Tea Leaves
  • 4 – 5 Cloves
  • Water
  • Glass Bottle
 Method:  
Take a few green tea leaves and about 4 to 5 cloves. Cloves should be crushed a little bit. Add these to a vessel of about 150 ml of water. Wait for the mixture to boil. After the water along with cloves and tea is boiled, strain it using a strainer and let it cool down to room temperature. Pour it into a glass bottle with a spray nozzle or in a normal tightly capped glass bottle. Keep this toner in a refrigerator.

Usage:

After washing the face with a mild cleanser, pat it dry. Apply the toner directly through the spray nozzle or take a cotton ball, dip it in the toner and apply it to your face.

This toner contains cloves which is an excellent ingredient for controlling acne and soothing the face.

  1. TONER  WITH CUCUMBER AND TOMATO :

This diy toner is excellent in minimizing your pores.

Ingredients Required:

  • Green Tea Leaves or Tea Bag
  • 1 medium-sized cucumber
  • 1 Tomato
  • Water
  • Ice Cube Tray
Method
In a vessel, add a few green tea leaves and make tea.  If you are using tea bags, then make a cup of hot water and dip the green tea bag into it to make tea. Strain the tea and let it cool down. In a mixture grinder, grind the cucumber and tomato and strain the juices.  Let the tea cool down to room temperature. Then mix the cucumber and tomato juice with it. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray and refrigerate.

Usage:

After washing your face rub these ice cubes on your skin. It will give an instant glow as well as remove sunburn. This toner, when used regularly, reduces large pores on the skin.

 

  1.  TONER  WITH CAMPHOR AND MINT:

This diy toner helps to render a cooling effect on your skin and thus reduce sunburn.

Ingredients Required:

  • Green tea Leaves
  • Mint leaves
  • Camphor or Karpur
  • Water
  • Glass Bottle
Method:   
 Boil some green tea leaves and mint leaves with water to make tea. Strain this tea and let it cool down to room temperature. Add camphor to this mixture and pour it into the glass bottle.

Usage:   

 Apply this toner with a cotton ball on your clean face. This toner will give a nice cooling effect and glow to your skin.

  1.  TONER  WITH LEMON AND HONEY:

This toner is very good for combination skin as it renders a subtle glow after daily use.

Ingredients Required:

  • Green Tea Leaves
  • Juice of one Lemon
  • Zest or peel of one lemon
  • 2 -3 tablespoon Honey
  • Water
  • Glass Bottle/Ice Cube Tray
Method
   Boil some green tea leaves and lemon zest with water to make tea. Strain this tea and let it cool down to room temperature. Add lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey and pour it into the glass bottle or refrigerate by pouring it into the ice tray.

Usage:     

Apply this toner with a cotton ball on your clean face or rub the ice cubes. This toner is good for oily and combination skin types.
